Three individuals, including two Bangladeshi nationals, have been killed in an Israeli drone strike in the Jebdeen area of Nabatiyeh district, southern Lebanon. The third victim was a Syrian national, as reported by Lebanese media L’Orient Today.
According to a report published on Monday (May 11), the deceased were working there as laborers. However, the names or detailed identities of the two Bangladeshi nationals are not yet known.
Citing local sources, the media outlet reported that Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon continue despite the ceasefire being in effect. It is believed that these casualties occurred in a drone attack carried out on Sunday.
Meanwhile, in response to the Israeli attacks, Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah is also carrying out retaliatory attacks. The organization also claimed a drone attack targeting Israeli soldiers on Monday.
On April 16, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. However, there have been allegations that Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon have not ceased since then. Local media reported that attacks are being carried out in various areas, destroying homes and targeting individuals associated with Hezbollah.
